Academic Plan
Preprimary (LKG and UKG)
JHPS-R believes that a strong foundation is the key to a successful educational journey. Our pre-primary academic plans are designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and nurture a love for learning in our youngest students. Our pre-primary academic program is carefully crafted to cater to the unique developmental needs of children aged 3 to 6, setting them on a path towards academic excellence and personal growth. Our highly qualified and experienced educators create a warm and inclusive atmosphere that encourages exploration and discovery. We believe that learning should be a joyful experience, and our pre-primary curriculum reflects this philosophy. Through a balanced blend of structured activities and play-based learning, we aim to instil a lifelong love for learning in each child.
Primary (Class I and II)
At JHPS-R, we understand that language and numeracy skills are fundamental pillars of academic success. Our primary academic plans are designed to provide a solid foundation for our students, with a strong emphasis on language and numeracy skills, interactive classrooms, and experiential learning. The academic program focuses on developing these skills through engaging and interactive teaching methods. We have a team of dedicated educators who employ innovative techniques to make learning both enjoyable and effective.
In our language program, we foster a love for reading, writing, and effective communication. We create a language-rich environment where students are encouraged to express their thoughts, ideas, and emotions and develop strong writing abilities. Through storytelling, debates, and creative writing projects, we aim to cultivate confident and articulate communicators.
Numeracy skills are essential for problem-solving and critical thinking. Our interdisciplinary primary curriculum places great emphasis on developing mathematical abilities not only through mathematics, but also through science, art and sporting activities. We provide students with a solid understanding of foundational concepts, while also encouraging them to think critically through experiential learning.
Preparatory stage (class III-V)
Our pedagogical approach at JHPS for the preparatory stage revolves around discovery, play, and activity-based interactive classroom learning. We firmly believe that children learn best when they are engaged, curious, and allowed to explore their interests and passions. We encourage children to be active participants in their learning journey. Our teachers facilitate learning experiences that encourage students to explore, investigate, and discover concepts on their own. Through hands-on activities and projects, children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. While academic excellence is a priority, we also believe in nurturing the overall development of our students. We offer a well-balanced curriculum that includes sports, arts, and extracurricular activities to encourage physical fitness, creativity, and talent exploration. This holistic approach helps in building self-confidence, leadership skills, and a well-rounded personality. The preparatory stage at Jubilee Hills Public School is designed to provide a solid foundation for our students' future academic pursuits and personal growth.
Middle School (Class VI-VIII)
At JHPS-R, our pedagogy goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. Our middle school curriculum is designed to provide students with a well-rounded and enriching learning experience through activity-based experiential learning. We strive to create an engaging environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity, allowing students to explore their passions and excel academically. Our curriculum incorporates a diverse range of subjects, including the introduction of core disciplines such as language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts and computers. These foundational subjects form the backbone of our academic program and equip students with essential knowledge and skills. However, we go a step further by infusing innovative teaching methodologies and encouraging students to think out of the box. Our teachers create an inclusive and supportive environment where students are motivated to explore their passions through interdisciplinary based hands-on project activities, engage in self-directed learning, and pursue personal growth. Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities and house activities that cater to diverse interests, such as sports, arts, music etc.
Secondary Stage (Class IX-X)
At JHPS-R, we believe in a holistic approach to education that goes beyond textbooks and examinations. Our secondary school curriculum is designed to provide students with a well-rounded learning experience, fostering their intellectual, emotional, and physical growth. Through a combination of project and field activity based experiential learning, an interdisciplinary approach, and a range of co-curricular activities; we empower our students to become lifelong learners and leaders of tomorrow. We understand the importance of hands-on training and real-world applications of knowledge. Our curriculum incorporates various practical activities that encourage students to actively engage with the subjects they study. Whether it's conducting experiments in our state-of-the-art science labs, exploring historical sites during field trips, or participating in simulations that simulate real-life scenarios, students have ample opportunities to deepen their understanding through experiential learning. Our curriculum embraces this idea by integrating different subject areas, enabling students to make connections and see the bigger picture. In addition to academic excellence, we place great emphasis on co-curricular and leadership activities to ensure the holistic development of our students. Our teaching methodologies are designed to actively engage students in the learning process through flipped classroom, debate, group discussion and many more activities.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AT ITS BEST
Experiential Learning At Its Best
Jubilee Hills Public School at Rampally, near ECIL, is affiliated to CBSE and yet has one of the best infrastructure, comparable to any International School.
Jubilee Hills Public School - Rampally is equal to an International School, but with a fee structure equal to the local schools. The Jubilee Hills Education Society, with its 35 years experience in running the Jubilee Hills Public School at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, has created one of the best infrastructures, with latest equipment, suitable for providing ‘experiential learning’ for students, right from first class onwards.
THE LEARNING PROCESS

Well ventilated and spacious classrooms with individual seating arrangements that provide flexibility to convert into joint / group Learning arrangements, helps the students learn the concepts at much faster level.
The pedagogy is so arranged that the six different labs, which include Geography, social science, mathematics, biology, physics and chemistry apart from the 3D academic content lab and the computer lab, are used to explain the concepts on a chapter wise basis in order to cater to the needs of the children while trying to understand the entire curriculum, easily.
NURTURING THE FUTURE GLOBAL CITIZENS

The School believes that every concept given in the textbooks has to be experienced by the child, first hand, through live demonstrations in the laboratories, hands on project activities by the children which help is clarifying the concepts that are expected to be learnt through the curriculum, while the students create the projects. Most important of all, it believes that this “Experiential Learning” is practiced not only in science and mathematics but also in the social studies and even the languages, which are most important for developing the desired social behavior and etiquette as expected in the global scenario.
Special Emphasis on Handwriting and Spoken English

The school has created a system of developing excellent handwriting for all the children, irrespective of their class level, to ensure that they themselves can appreciate their own beautiful handwriting, which the school thinks will help develop high levels of self-confidence among the children to write more, which will result in getting higher grades.
Similarly, the school has put into effect spoken English classes on a weekly basis, to improve the students ability to speak English or their own languages in the correct way that they should be spoken, with proper emphasis on the right accent. This exercise is expected to improve the speaking ability of the children, which will in turn raise their self confidence level and enable them to converse and communicate with any global peer group or citizen.
MIND-MAPPING TECHNOLOGY LEADS TO CREATIVITY & SELF-CONFIDENCE
The school recognizes the fact that, instead of memorizing every part of the syllabus and repeating it, just for the exams, the student does not really learn anything, except to repeat out of memory. Understanding of the concepts in this type of teaching system does not happen. It is therefore essential that children develop a method of absorbing the concepts into their minds and use such knowledge in order to develop the conceptualization of the phenomena and creativity. Such an understanding of the concepts will definitely ensure that the students would excel in their future, at the highest seats of learning, such as the IITs or any reputed international universities.
In order to achieve such a learning situation, we at JHPS-Rampally, are establishing very simple methods of mind mapping techniques, that we expect would go a very long way in developing subject matter, understanding and reproduction of such understanding for the future needs of their employment or creativity.
The method envisaged for creating this mind mapping methodology, also reduces the bag loads of children to such minimum levels, that the children would become free from the drudgery of carrying those huge dead loads of books, every day, to and from school.
Curriculum
JHPS – Rampally offers quality education to its Students. The motto is to provide extensive knowledge base that a child would be able to retain for the life-time and also to develop a sense of creativity and the will to achieve.
The teaching methodologies employed are such that, they make learning interesting and enjoyable for the learners. The underlying conceptual framework enshrined in the National Education Policy 2020 forms the basis of our pedagogies. The learning process takes place through projects, role plays, group-discussions, art integration, model making, elicitation, research, class presentations and exhaustive hands on activities (learning by doing mode) that are designed to generate willing interest among the children to learn.
JHPS views education as a wholesome process. The focus is not only on academics and co-curricular activities but also on inculcating values. The teaching-learning process is aimed at fostering competencies like effective communication skills, creativity, problem solving, decision making and self-study.
The top-notch infrastructure helps the learners tune in well with the times, enjoy learning at school, become confident individuals and get ready to face the challenges of life.
The Curriculum at JHPS-Rampally has been set at a lower quantum, keeping in view the current philosophy of the CBSE, not to burden the children with undue content, cramming and making education play the vital role in developing interest and curiosity amongst children. The teachinglearning experience at JHPS - R shall be such that the students learn in a fun way, while they are engaged in the process of lifelong retention of concepts.
Every activity is planned in such a manner that each child gets an opportunity to relate concepts taught at school to the actual world outside. The focus is on mastering English, Mathematics, Science, Geography and Social understanding. Computer education and its use have been made the medium of generating such mastery and also to become wizards in their use. Emphasis on achieving high levels of proficiency in Hindi, the national language and Telugu the state language as the alternate languages are also sufficiently encouraged.
Right from the Pre-primary stage, the teaching methodology discourages rote memory. Thematic method of teaching is followed where, an interdisciplinary mode of knowledge transfer is achieved through integrated activities, laying emphasis on skill based learning. This includes the development of fine and gross motor, cognitive, social, emotional, linguistic and numerical skills. The fact that each child is unique and has different learning styles is explicitly understood and the academic School Manual 2022-23 9 program is so organized that children from all backgrounds would be able to assimilate the subject content with ease. Various activities are designed in such a way that they cater to different types of learner abilities like auditory, visual and kinesthetic modes.
