Class Rooms
Classrooms at school are what a child remembers the most, during the entire lifetime. Children spend over 7 hours a day for 240days a month, and 12 to 14 years of their most formative years, and hence becomes a second home.
With this ideologue in mind, Classrooms at JHPS-Rampally are made Extra Large (680 Ft², while CBSE norm is 480 Ft²), well ventilated, airy and bright.
They are equipped with the latest in teaching technology aids like Electronic Smart Boards that work like a Desktop Computer /Projector with sound systems/ A writing board that can record and store all that is taught (for recovery & recapitulation), built-in cameras for online teaching/ Drawing & writing support systems / internet connected / and many more; to make the learning process highly effective.
Comfortable and individualized seats, with individual student lockers within, large free spaces for group activities, student created artefacts and exhibits which brighten the walls and constantly remind them of their proud achievements, make it a pleasurable experience for the children. Consequently, learning becomes easy.
Laboratories
Learning in the laboratories at JHPS Rampally is programmed to be an experience, its students will cherish. They are organized to provide reinforcement to a large number of curricular concepts to the children, through hands on and real time visual experiences. The labs are technology enabled for experiential learning in its true sense and also with the help of software, 3-D animation, video projections, etc.
The Laboratory Complex, in about 20,000 Sq Ft floor area, is almost the best as it comes and includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematic, Geography and Social Science Labs which not only cater to the Secondary classes but are also programmed to be extensively used for explaining the course content to the Primary and Middle School classes also. These subject based independent International Standard Labs are also equipped with required apparatus and appropriate tools for imparting practical and application based knowledge to the students.
A special 3 D printer lab is equipped with 2 very large sized 3 D printers and 4 standard sized printers, which cater to the requirement of the project activities of and by the students. Students may request for any design printing contemplated by them for their project activities, which will be provided based on availability of suitable software and /or design, on a first come first served basis.
An exclusive Ideation Room for generating group creative projects and other creative activities is also provided. Supporting this activity the school also has a Photography Hobby center clubbed with a journalism den.
Familiarizing students with the knowledge of where their food comes from and the various facets of farming practices is an added incentive for the children to explore their academic zeal out in the open at the 2 acre farm plots unit, where over 40 types of crops, vegetables, fruits, tubers, creepers, leafy vegetables are grown in small plots, every year.
Activity Rooms
Activity rooms at JHPS – Rampally JHPS – Rampally include the various subject Labs, computer lab, 3-D Lab, the farm plots, music, art, dance, craft rooms, the huge auditorium, library, etc., which provide reinforcement to the areas of the learning processes of the students. Hands on activities are performed for the lessons learnt in different subjects. The entire campus is networked with INTRANET facility and 24/7 INTERNET connectivity for the benefit of students and staff in the instructional process.
An exclusive Kindergarten Activity center helps the Tiny-Tots enjoy their time with all their dream activities such as tree houses, play house, indoor lawns, etc.
Training is provided in the areas of Fine Arts, Dance, Music and Various Co-Scholastic Activities (CSA) and the various intra-disciplinary activities is organized by the regular teaching faculty in providing the additional curricular support needed for the comprehensive learning of the subject matter content through the medium of Dance, Music and Art within the various special activity rooms.
Auditorium
With about 900 seating capacity for the students, the auditorium is almost the best among the schools in Hyderabad.
The auditorium is fitted with a Panorama size, ‘School Cinema’ projection systems, where value-based movies are periodically shown to the students, to help facilitate learning of creative arts such as theatre, oratory skills, language and communication skills, etc.
Efforts are also on to make the auditorium acoustic proof, fully air-conditioned and all to install stage paraphernalia, such as curtain, wings, rear dropdown screens, lighting, advanced sound system, provide flexible partition systems for creating multi-use zones simultaneously, etc.
Library And Reference Section
The Library is essentially a Resource Centre set up for the benefit of our students and teachers. It has an area of 2,600 sq. ft. and is stacked with over 3,900 titles of Indian as well as Foreign authors, encyclopedia, reference books, biographies and other interesting reading material. It subscribes to various newspapers, periodicals and magazines in English, Telugu and Hindi. Apart from these, there is a large collection Kindle Books, over 700 CDs consisting of educational material, Atlases, Charts, Globes, etc. Out teachers constantly access the library and also its e-content to supplement their subject knowledge with the latest developments. There is also a provision for students to learn their missed out portions through the Audio-Visual playback facility created in the library.
Safety Policy
The school has an effective safety policy in place. Apart from ensuring that the school structure is designed by expert structural engineers to cater to the seismic zone requirements, proper ventilation, fire evacuation requirement, equipment for prevention and control of fire, supply of safe & hygienic water, appropriate seating, child friendly and hazard free furniture, clean and sanitised toilets, etc., have been put in place.
While utmost care is taken by school for the safety of the students and staff, there is always a chance for unforeseen incidents that may cause injury or other health problems. In case of any such unfortunate / unforeseen incident resulting in an injury, parents are requested to cooperate and try not to hold the school liable without properly ascertaining the facts.
As part of the school’s responsibility to ensure child healthy when at school or during field trips, immediate first-aid / emergency care will be provided / initiated by the school and the parents informed, forthwith. However, any expenditure for such care / treatment at hospital or diagnostics (Ex: First aid / X-ray, etc.) will be done by the school immediately, which has to be reimbursed later by the parents to the school.
Fire
The school is provided with a comprehensive fire protection system with fire alarm system. fire hydrants and fire extinguishers, placed at strategic points, all as per the direction of the fire department and as per the approved plans, conforming to the respective codes. Two external fire escape staircases and 4 internal stairs are also positioned as per the fire protection norms, which helps fast evacuation of the entire building.
Fire drills are conducted by the fire department at least 2 times per year, to train the children and staff on the best procedures of management during any fire hazard. One simulated exercise is also done at a random time, to ensure that children are sufficiently trained to adopt fire escape norms.
Teachers and all other staff of the school are also provided with training on how to use fire extinguishers during hazards.
Drinking Water
The school provides mineral water for the students through the dispensers located in strategic points of the campus. Students need not carry water bottles from their homes except for their specific requirements if any.
Medical Emergencies
Parents are requested to co-operate with the school and not send their children till the quarantine period is over.
Students, who require medical attention during school hours, will be sent to the school Infirmary by the teacher concerned, who will enter the nature of illness and sign the ‘School Infirmary Record’ of the School Diary. Students should not, except in emergency situations, visit the school infirmary, unless an entry has been made in the School Diary, by a teacher.
In the event of the illness being serious or an emergency situation arises, Parents are informed forthwith and may be requested to come to school to take their child home, if necessary.
In case where it becomes essential to admit any student to a hospital with immediate effect, due to medical exigencies, the Principal, in consultation with the School Nurse, shall get the child transported in the school ambulance and get admitted to the best known hospital within the vicinity of the School, based on the situation, the capabilities of the hospital and the time available for the emergency care. Parents are immediately notified and once they reach the hospital, all further decisions shall be left to the best judgement of the Parents.
Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to school:

Infirmary Room
The School Infirmary is a well-established health care unit with two hospital beds and an inspection table. It is well stocked with all essential medicines for most emergencies and is supported by a full time nurse.
It is also supported by a school owned ambulance and connected to a multi-speciality hospital within 15 minutes reach of the school.
Canteen Facility
As part of a health safety plan, the school has provided for a well equipped kitchen and dining facilities. These facilities are outsourced to external agencies specialising in these activities and are ordained to provide basic, specified, healthy food items to students and staff, on advance order basis.
Students can avail the food based on prefixed menus at short break or at lunch break, based on advance information prior to or at least upon arriving at school, on the date of requirement. Weekly or Monthly coupons are also available to students upon request and advance purchase.
